I've not yet begun issuing regular advisories for the Abajo Mountains. A much-needed storm system brought the first measurable snow to the mountains between Dec 19 -22. 3"-4" of snow is on the ground at 9000' with a foot or more likely at upper elevations. Prior to this event, all slopes were dry and I'm not anticipating any avalanche problems at this time. I will update this forecast as conditions warrant.
