Comments
Remotely triggered soft slab on a convex while skiing adjacent slope. After skiing 2 laps in the George's/Ivory area noting only some very shallow isolated wind pockets on the E facing ridgeline, and generally stable right side up new snow, decided to walk over and investigate Montreal Hill. Partner and I discussed that we felt the new snow that fell during periods of high PI was starting to feel dense and slabby on top. Decided to ski a generally lower angle slope because of that, and noticed after my second turn that snow was moving on the adjacent convexity. Pulled off and saw a soft slab of new snow had released about 18-20in deep, and ran the 300 feet to the flats.
