Comments
I saw this avalanche on Pointy Peak while hiking up Murdock Bowl on Friday afternoon 2/26.I am guessing it slid that morning. I figured Canyons patrol would submit an observation, I never saw one so here it is. I was too far away to determine if it was triggered by a skier or boarder, I saw no tracks. Looks like it ripped down to the mid-November PWL. Quite wide breaking from the North facing pines around the bowl to the East face, estimate it ran 350 to 400 feet vertically.
