I assume someone else will post this so please ignore it if it's a repeat. This is actually a obs of two avalanches both in Main Days, on east facing slopes. They both slid at some interface in the new snow/ storm snow. Both were soft slab avalanches, both triggered by skiers on steep east facing slopes. They looked almost identical, except they were about 1,000 vertical away from each other, and one was close to the ridge, the other way down midslope.
Lots of people out in this area today in upper days and Silver, and on Flag and the Emmas. Lots of people without avalanche gear (albeit building jumps, not lapping). Not a great idea...
