Comments
I purposely cut a cornice off that triggered a soft slab avalanche that ran 150+ feet and varied in how much it took with it. Cornice was fairly larger than refrigerator size and ran the distance of the avalanche and left a large crater on the slope. Slope was above a couple cliffs so amount of snow was small. I also did this with a smaller cornice on an adjacent slope than also ran 70+ and was 10 feet wide. Lots of sluffs everywhere that were small. There was also what seemed to be a natural slide in what I believe is Jaws 2.0 that was 10+ ft wide and ran <100 feet.
