We did a run on cardiac ridge that was pretty good -- mostly light, soft snow. Then for our second run we headed more south to put us closer to our exit over cardiff. We went over a ridge that was more East facing rather than Northeast facing terrain. I put the red dot in the photo just above my tracks. The snow on the ridge was heavy and wet (where my friend skied), and I was hoping that it might be better skiing on the face. Part of the face had already slid, and I considered skiing that just to be safe. But I thought since the conditions were safe and I was not on a South aspect that I should be ok skiing the untracked snow. It looks like I did two turns before it slid, and then I tumbled for a hundred or so feet? It was a slow wet slide, but I couldn't escape, possibly due to the steepness of the slope. Fortunately, I was mostly unscathed with just a jammed finger and a minor knee sprain.
It looks like it slid at the new snow/old snow interface, so it was just a few inches deep.
