Saw this slide from the bottom of the apron after skiing Seagull chute near Brighton and felt the need to report it. Snowboarder was to ski the exposed run skiers right of three chute, to eventually cut far right from above the cliffs to safety. Snowboard made a few turns dropping in and created a ton of sluff that may have cause a small wind slab to release which at this time of day was warming up just enough (around 11am). Snowboarder was caught and carried to the cliffs below, maybe 200 ft and was stopped by only a tree. He was then able to climb back up and traverse over the cliffs and out of harms way. Felt like this would could be important and a humble reminder that even on a ‘low danger day’ accidents can happen, especially in high consequence terrain.
